Day 1

Day 1: Addis Ababa – Jimma – Bonga

  1. Drive from Addis Ababa (~7 hours) via Jimma.
  2. Stop at Aba Jifar Palace, home of Ethiopia’s last independent king.
  3. Visit Bonga’s coffee forest, Ethiopia’s original coffee-growing region.
  4. Overnight: Bonga Lodge.

Day 2: Bonga – Chebera Churchura National Park

  1. Morning drive to Chebera Churchura National Park (~3 hours).
  2. Afternoon game drive—spot elephants, buffalos & bushbucks.
  3. Visit the hot springs & waterfalls inside the park.
  4. Overnight: Camping site or lodge inside the park.

Day 3: Full-Day Safari in Chebera Churchura

  1. Morning game drive—best chance to spot lions, leopards & elephants.
  2. Picnic lunch by the river.
  3. Explore the park on a guided walking safari.
  4. Sunset safari drive before returning to camp.
  5. Overnight: Camping site or lodge.

Day 4: Chebera Churchura – Addis Ababa

  1. Morning game drive.
  2. Return drive to Addis Ababa (~9 hours).
