Day 1

Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa – Coffee & City Tour

  1. Welcome at Bole International Airport
  2. Coffee experienceat Tomoca Coffee or Alem Bunna
  3. Visit the National Museum(home of Lucy – 3.2 million-year-old fossil)
  4. Explore Holy Trinity Cathedral
  5. Traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremonyin the evening

  6. Overnight in Addis Ababa

Day 2: Addis Ababa – Jimma (Drive ~6 hrs)

  1. Drive to Jimma, Ethiopia’s coffee capital
  2. Stop at Gibe Riverfor scenic views
  3. Visit the Aba Jifar Palace, the residence of Jimma’s last king
  4. Afternoon coffee tastingat a local coffee farm
  5. Overnight in Jimma

Day 3: Jimma – Bonga (Birthplace of Coffee) – Coffee Farm Visit

  1. Drive to Bonga, the birthplace of Arabica coffee
  2. Visit a forest coffee farmand learn about traditional coffee cultivation
  3. Participate in a coffee harvesting experiencewith local farmers

Day 4: Bonga – Yirgacheffe (Drive ~7 hrs)
